Thoughts on the Latest Hillsong Live Album

Hillsong Live God is Able (2011) Cover
Recently, Hillsong Live has released their latest album yet: God is Able (2011). I think the album was super, and I was really blessed by it. The songs are encouraging and very much uplifting. It gave me hope when I faced trouble and problems, and it brought great relief. Overall, the songs were okay. But there are a few songs which I really can’t get enough of (and I’m listening to it as I write this entry). They are: God is Able, Unending Love, The Lost are Found, You are More, Narrow Road My Heart is Overwhelmed, Go and Alive in Us. Looking at my list, I’ve mentioned eight songs which made more than 50% of the songs in the album (there are 13 songs in the CD and 15 in the DVD).
The song God is Able talks about how God is able, to do everything, far and above all that we can ever imagine. This song is really great. I’m also very touched by Unending Love. Well, I heard the song first not from the new album, but from Hillsong Youth’s Autumn album which was in YouTube, and ever since the song kept playing in my head. However, I couldn’t really find a good copy of the song on the net. And so, when I saw in Wikipedia that the new Hillsong album has Unending Love in it, I have looked up to the album’s release. I was and still is very much touched by the song and the meaning of the song. The words in the song may be simple, but then the meaning they conceal are very deep and it relates to my life and yours too, I hope. And.. the first time I heard the song, I cried.
Well I could write a whole lot more and describe each and every song but I currently have no time because I am going to church. But I really want you to be as much blessed as I am by this album and so, I wanna share the album with you. I’m doing this not because I encourage piracy or whatever, nor am I trying to get involved with the cops. I do this with hope that you can listen to the album for those who might not have access to the original copy.

My Very First Post

Reciprocated is what I originally intended to name my blog. But then as I tried to check its availability, it seems that the word reciprocated has already been taken. So out of nowhere I thought if I didn’t include the last ‘e’ on the word ‘reciprocated’ it would sound really cool. And hence my blog: reciprocat d. But this is not what I want to talk about. Since this is my first post on my blog, I want to talk about why I name this blog Reciprocated, so that you will understand why I made this blog.
Throughout my life, God has been really good to me. He has done so much that I would never be able to be able to repay His goodness. To reciprocate is all about ‘returning the favor’ (in this sense return God’s favor) and this is what I want to try to do. Though I know that I will never be able to repay God’s goodness in full, I will always want to try to do the best that I can do to reciprocate His love. But I want to reciprocate God’s love not only to God but also to people, so that more and more people will know that God loves them, and that God really wants them to know how much He loves them. Can you imagine this: Jesus died on the cross out of His great love for us, just so that we don't need to go to hell when we die. You see, God could've just not bothered. But he didn't. He chose to send his son to die for us humans who are so undeserving. Yes, this is crazy love, and not much people actually realize this. This is the reason why I made this blog.
The main purpose of this blog is to spread God’s word and also give encouragement to my fellow believers as well as myself. I will fill the blog with things that are positive and encouraging, like devotions or testimonies or songs or other things that I can’t really think of now. And you can also comment of what you think about this blog or about the posts. Please also share your testimony about God and God’s love, through which I believe we’ll be very much strengthened and blessed. So I hope that this blog will have a very strong Christian feel and I pray that this blog be a blessing to each and everyone of you and let the name of Jesus Christ alone be glorified!
God bless you.
